Robust dining table made from the famous bowling alley "de meibloem" in Ghent, Belgium. These 5-6 cm thick bowling lanes are made from combinations of lamellar norwegian pine and canadian maple. Typical bowling arrows/triangles made from solid sippo (no veneer). This eye catcher can be used a dining table or a desk. New heavy support in black finish (steel hardening technique called Niblox). Important note: due to the thousands of steel nails used in the original installation (bowling alley), these tables can weigh up to 100 kg per square meter. We have (many) more bowling lane parts (from 1 to 4meters)- similar or matching furniture can be offered on request. Space age chairs are sold separately. Dimensions: H75 x W200 x D101

Bowling De Meibloem
Lanes with a history

From back in the 80's until 2011, Bowling De Meibloem in Ghent was the place to be for students & families who loved to hit the lanes. The last pins were hit on 1st of May 2011. After the closing of Bowling De Meibloem, we were able to get our hands on the authentic wooden bowling lanes.

Handmade tables
Upcycled design

We collaborated with a local artisan to create unique tables & desks made from the original Brunswick bowling lanes. Each table was upcycled from the wood waste from the bowling lane, respecting their distinct features and honoring their heritage.

Why bowling?

I've been working at the exclusive distributor for Brunswick Bowling products for years. It get's in your veins, you feel and breathe bowling after a while. The company was the owner of Bowling De Meibloem, so reviving these lanes means going full circle.
